When you first speak to Ovo Energy, you can’t help but be impressed by their level of customer service. The company is a fresh, energetic and relatively new business in the energy sector and they’ve rapidly become the UK’s first Which? Recommended Provider for energy.
So, when we were approached to create a bespoke learning plan for the company, we wanted to ensure they had everything they needed to improve the financial understanding of their employees.
Ovo Energy asked us to design two bespoke courses in only three weeks: “Boosting Your Financial Know-How” and “Understanding the Jargon”. We rose to the challenge facilitating the first course a mere 21 days later. We needed to create a learning plan for the company, based around their business, it’s requirements and the learning needs of the employees.
Working closely with their Finance and Trading teams, we got to know their business and the financial issues that needed addressing. By having a detailed plan that worked for the business we were able to ensure that all of the learning requirements of the employees were considered, using different techniques and activities to enable all employees to understand the materials and information presented to them.
We married this with a creative, exciting and fun approach that was integral to their business values and culture. To this day, they are our only client that have asked us to facilitate a course in a treehouse!
We are now part of Ovo’s core training offering and continue to help their employees gain insight and skills to support a financially healthy workplace. Everyone now has a clearer understanding of the topics and how their actions and decisions impact on the overall financial health of the company.
