One of the world’s largest privately-owned property businesses – developing, managing and investing in properties across a range of sectors – approached us with the requirement of improving their employees business acumen in order to support their business strategy.

The initial broad remit of ‘we need our people to improve their business acumen’ to support their business strategy, was given to us in order to create a bespoke corporate training course for the company. In order to cover all of the areas possible, we worked alongside the client to asses the specific learning gaps that needed to be incorporated into the training. We created a detailed learning matrix to bring everything together, allowing individuals to assess their own requirements and select the relevant learning pathways. The results identified a complex array of needs, incorporating a vast range of areas and levels of development requirements.

After we identified the main learning gaps we needed to fill in, we created a course that would benefit the company and truly work with the participants learning requirements. The blend of short films, digital learning, mini facilitated sessions, work-based activities and guided personal reflection has provided a robust solution that has been well received, with improvements in commercial thinking already being demonstrated.
